i try to get auto focus but some photos look wash i will upload some ones

Either it didn't autofocus or you had AE/AF lock on something at a different distance or your camera has fingerprints/bacon grease on it.

RE: Bad photos

If the camera in the phone is bad, it is a replaceable part. The Apple stores can replace it. Mine was fuzzy on the right side, they were out of cameras, so I got a new phone instead of coming back to the store. Give your local apple store a call and set up an appointment, if you have one nearby that is.

the auto focus it's bad i go to a local radio shack and chek it i need to exchange this week

TO be honest guys, I watched Apples Press conference online and saw THEIR untouched photos that they took with iphone 4S. NO way in hell I managed to get anything close to that, I have been in london on a sunny day and none of the photos came close to theirs quality wise:( My old Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc took much better photos.

First rule of photography : It's all about the lighting.

I absolutely accept that Apple's untouched photos are authentic, because the lighting is perfect in all of them.

You'd be surprised at the kind of images you can get with a crummy camera and phenomenal lighting.

FWIW, these are all from a 3GS camera. They show both retouched and unretouched shots. The raw images are pretty impressive.

I've taken photos with my 5DMkII that look as poor as the one you posted.
