Okay here are the symptoms.

Whenever my Mac wakes from sleep there is a small lag or delay before I can switch to an app of about 2-3 seconds. I have rebooted the Mac and the problem is resolved after reboot for a while until it starts up again. I have checked the drive with Tech Tools Pro and all is well. However that software back in 2005 failed to detect a bad logic board on my then iBook. Anyone have suggestions? Not a major issue just an inconvenience.

Several people on the forum have mentioned their Mac being slow to wake from sleep. More than likely, it is a software problem. You really don’t need to sleep your Mac. Just turn the screen off via a hot corner.
Well thats good news. If I disable sleep mode will this damage the Mac?

Install Drive Dx (free trial) and share the screenshot.

I am the admin of this computer. However I ran a SMART check and a full volume structures test with tech tools pro (software that cost money) and all is well, so this has gotta be software related.
