With all the new 'Force Touch' features just released, would it not be wise to buy a new trackpad? I would like one but don't need one. Do you think they will update it soon? The Magic Mouse hasn't been updated in years and I wonder whether the Mac pointing device that has only recently (compared to the mouse) been introduced will get an update?

I hope they make a new magic trackpad with touch force... but I don't think they will make it for a year or so.

It will be a while before it's updated.
Current Magic Trackpad came on sale in 2010, while it seems the multi-finger-gesture trackpad began shipping in the 2008 MacBookPro?

If you want to minimize losses, buy a used one.
So many people buy one and then find it's not their "thing".
I bought it new, but I bought a BT-keyboard 2nd-hand and it was as-new but with a 25% discount.
