Bad USB Flash Drive.....What to Do ?

Hi Guys, I bought a USB Flash Pen Drive from Best Buy,
a generic Geek Squad one 4 GB, and it is acting all weird.
When i try to upload files to it, it says Error, files already exist !
It keeps giving me errors! I have tried to reformat the disk
in Disk Utility as FAT 32, and that didn't help.....

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot these issues ?

Would it help to Reformat the drive to FAT16 ?

Might be something wrong with the flash drive itself, try getting a replacement.

I wouldn't put too much effort in tying to fix/figure it out. Instead, just return it and get one that works.

If just bought, take it back. They can test it themselves, and if its bad, replace it.

I ended up reformating the USB thumb drive to Mac Journaled.
It works fine on my Mac like this.

But now it won't work on Windows......doesn't matter though..
