Badges with numbers disappeared

I was playing around with CleanMyMac, and I think I have disabled somehow the red badge notifications that pop over an app icon, such as Mail, Sparrow to show the number of new emails.

Is there a way to restore this?

Thank you!
 
Figured it out ...
I have disabled them via the Preferences/Notifications pane.
