Hi All,

I started trying to apply new thermal paste to my late 2011 MacBook 13 inch today...

I thought I'd actually enjoy it but it's just been a tedious nightmare! Way harder than it looks!

I already snapped a eyesight camera cable... I don't mind losing the camera at all but I hope that's the extent of the damage done here??

Following the ifixit tutorial I'm badly stuck at the point where it says I have to peel the microphone off. I put up a picture of what I'm looking at - do I try to peel off the metal looking base part from the casing? I've been a bit rough here with the mic etc because the mic was always broke...

When I try lift up the logic board I'm feeling quite a bit of resistance... Pretty sure all other steps are done... prob the mic??Hopefully I don't get a bit crack sound when lifting it!

Id really appreciate any help so I can hopefully get back making music soon! I'd be lost without it!
