So I just bought a 13" MBA, and I have my iPad that I'd love to carry in the same bag. I'm in Grad school, so I'm carrying at least 1 ~1000 page book with me, and maybe a small notebook as well. I have a Jansport Right Pack (http://www.jansport.com/js_product_detail.php?cid=1&pid=TYP7) which I have had for about 10 years and has been amazing. But I'm looking for something new.

I've looked at the Incase Compact (http://store.apple.com/us/product/H...fnode=MTY1NDA2Ng&mco=MTc5NzIzMzQ&s=topSellers) and the Thule Crossover (http://store.apple.com/us/product/H...fnode=MTY1NDA2Ng&mco=MTcxNjEzNzk&s=topSellers).

Does anyone have any experience with these? Or any other advice for a good backpack, or maybe a messenger bag? I've been scouring the internet, doing major MRoogles, but can't find anything really informative.

I haven't used my Incase Compact backpack much, I got it a few weeks ago, and it fits my needs as a backpack that will hold a couple of my books along with notebooks, pens, my phone, and my computer. I highly recommend it.

Colcasac

Colcasac makes a shoulder messenger bag. I have one of their iPad sleeves, and it's really well made. They handmake their products from high quality cotton and hemp. Here is a link to their bag. Kind of pricy, but I have no doubt it'd be great. I just don't have the need for a bag.
