Balloon tips

when my cursor hovers over links in windows a balloon would pop up and show me where the link will take me. I haven't been able to do this in safari. Is there a way to set this up in the preferences? Thanks to all who reply.

Safari will show tooltips for links that have them set. You can see an example if you hover the mouse over the "Shop:" links on this or any MacRumors page.

For link contents, that information is displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the window. If the bar isn't there, you can press Apple-/ or pick View->Show Status Bar from the menu.
