Bandaid for MacOS Apple Mail not fetching mail ?

On my MacBook my Airmail is working and fetching mails fine, but Apple Mail has not fetched any new mails in days. I hit the "Update" envelope like 40 times, and clicked on "Rebuild" in the "Mailbox" menu, but it's stalling. Apple Mail is dead. It can send emails, but it does not fetch, from neither account (Google, Outlook, iCloud). I searched online but couldn't find anything helpful. Any ideas or tips?

OK, FOUND A SOLUTION! Menu "Mailbox", "Take All Accounts Offline", then wait 10 seconds, then "Take All Accounts Online".

Seems like the Mail app, like most of Apple's apps, don't get top priority in their dev department lol...
