Bandstand midi sounds sometimes load distorted

I have a perplexing problem. When I load midi sounds into NI Bandstand (standalone), they sometimes sound corrupted (e.g., piano sounds overdriven, notes are crackly, off-key). I can restart and sometimes the problem fixes itself, only to return. I can detect no pattern... latency seems fine, CPU seems fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled app.

I have been able to find no help on this issue either at NI site or online. :confused:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a G5 PPC 2x2 1.5Gb
