iPhone Banner notifications not working for messages/iMessage (maybe other apps too) iOS 9

Since upgrading to iOS 9 last night, I'm not getting banner notifications for SMS or iMessages (Messages app) whilst I'm using the phone.

Is anyone else having this problem? How can I fix?
