Banner or Alert Doesn't Appear In App

Hello.

I have banner notifications set for a series of apps and alert for the phone app. When I'm using my default browser (Mercury) or my Reddit client (BaconReader) I frequently do not receive banner or alert notifications. I'll exit out from using those apps and find missed emails, text messages, calls, etc.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any solutions?
