Barefeats 2.5 vs 2.7 graphics test strange results!

Barefeats have posted tests of dual 2, 2.5 and 2.7 powermacs carrying out various graphics intensive tests. The 2.5 beats the 2.7 hands down in every one. Even the 2 beats the 2.7 in some tests. Have apple changed the logic board design or controller chips on the latest machines?

They couldn't explain the results and ask for explanantions, anyone here got any?

some people said that the 2.7 is just an overclocked 2.5. this may have affected the performance, though i have no clue why.
