Hello!

So, someone is selling a 2016 MBP 15 (Brand new, never open - 512GB, 455 2G)

$800 Cheaper than RRP.

Should I buy it or wait for the WWDC for the new MBP if it happens?

I am looking for a MBP 15 that can least for 3-4 years. Will the Kaby Lake has huge improvement over the current one?

I dont do any Pro works such as video editing, programming etc.

Thanks

Heck yeah I'd buy it. That machine would easily last 4 years, notwithstanding unforseen hardware failures. Just make sure you get AppleCare on it.

If you don't do any Pro work it'll be more than overkill I suppose, but certainly be able to handle anything you can throw at it.

If the price is good and it's not a scam, why not? You can always sell it for more if you decide that you are not happy with it.

Yeah. I have checked the serial number, it has 8 months warranty left on it.
Its a gift from someone else, I wish I have friends like that.
All I do is bit DOTA, email, youtube and work stuff. Overkill I suppose.
13 MBP can't do Dota smoothly, I think this might just be the one.
Gonna meet up with him and have a look tomorrow.

Btw, this is one of the reason I love MBP!

Thanks for all the comments!

800 dollars for something that runs closer to 3k - seems too good to be true. To me there's definitely red flags waving on this.
