:(Hello everybody.
I hope this post will find you well.

My name is Antonio. First message here on this beautiful forum of mac appasionates. I have a macbook air 2011 on which I installed few months ago on a formatted hard disk (original apple) mavericks. 2 days ago I finally upgraded to YOSEMITE! Download was straightforward and it rebooted...
and...... after 1/4 installation progress bar... barred circle (prohibition sign).

I discovered that this happens to people who swap the original SSD with a third part. Is it true? because few months ago I took this macbook air in a "third part" computer shop to be repaired (cracked screen)...
Maybe .... maybe ... there happened the "swap".
Is there any chance now to discover if they did that?

Otherwise what can I do in this position?
My macbook air is stucked here ... barred sign. I tried to reset PVRAM but nothing. I tried also to go in recovery mode and reinstall OSx but.. nothing.
Again the barred circle.

What if I do cmd alt and R...? It appear to reinstall a new copy of OSx (mavericks, lion or..yosemite) but... will i lose everything or not?

Thanks a lot
Antonio (From Italy)
