Base 13' 2011 MBP or 2.66 13' 2010 MBP

I'm looking to buy one because i actually need a computer. Does anyone know anything about performance on the latest MBP 13' base and the higher end 2010 13' MBP?

Which should i buy/?

2.66. By buying the 13", you're likely not gaming. You can pick up a refurb for cheaper than the brand new one with little to no performance drop.

i play starcraft 2, which was alright on my 2009 base mbp that i sold recently for 1120.

In terms of performace, which would b faster? i5 2.3 13' or the Core 2 Duo 2.66 13' from 2010?

I use garageband and imovie too.

The i5 2.3 without question. I would definitely go with that. You'll see reviews in the next few days comparing this generation to last, and the i5 will be shown to be markedly faster.

The new base 13" is at least as powerful as the 2010 17"!!
