Hello again, I have been looking for a wattage rating for the base-line mac pro tower. I would like to purchase a battery backup pack for my future system, I would be using two Samsung 226BW TFT's along with the computer tower. I just cannot find how much power the computer draws while working at maximum consumption.

Do any of you know what pack I should get for a runtime of 2-4 minutes?

Thanks.:)

2.8GHz 8 core, 2GB RAM, 1 Hard drive, 2600XT is likely under 350W when working at full load. The Mac Pro has a 1KW power supply.

If you search for wattage on this subforum you will find threads discussing which solutions to buy.

Thanks, I've done that and I have found a good Belkin UPS that can supply 615W for 150 CDN at tigerdirect up here in canada.

I'll be getting it soon
