And which color did you get? I got mine today. I did a black magic speed test and it is indeed slower than my m1 but I don't notice any difference whatsoever. I got the Space Gray. Very happy with it so far and the keyboard feels even a little better than the M1. I can't explain it but it is a little bit different.

I went for the 10-core/512GB model, and wow. I am impressed at how well this functions as a laptop. The performance is instantaneous for everyday tasks, beating my previous 2012 MacBook Pro which was still quick and amazingly even beating a M1 Pro MacBook Pro for web browsing thanks to the optimizations made in the M2.
I can't imagine the base model being too far off. Honestly the keyboard might be even better than the 14" MacBook Pro which was already solid. Apple nailed it with this computer. This is the first time I've looked at a laptop and wanted to use it as a laptop.
