Base M2 MBA Price Reduction?

I see that Micro Center has the M2 MBA in stock with a selling price of $1,099 noting that the buyer is saving $100. When I look at Apple's web site I see the base M2 MBA selling for $1,099 as well. Which means the Micro Center price isn't saving one anything. Having said that wasn't the price on the base M2 MBA originally $1,199?

Base Model MBA M2 does list $1,199. It sounds like you are looking at the Education Store on the apple website.
