Base model 27" 3.2 GHZ

Is the 27" 3.2 Base model worth buying, not waiting a month or more for a fusion drive when i can get the base one in store. It has to be better than the hot late 09 27" i have right?

I was going to get the 27" base model but I went with the 3.4 i7 for "future proofing" reasons.

Sure but future proof is what 12 months. My 09 base model i have got over 3 years, surely a base 3.2 i would get the same and be good enough.

Anyone got one?

I went CTO instead because the base model didn't have an internal SSD and based on what I see the thunderbolt SSDs aren't that reliable or gets too expensive.

I think it's very ok the base model with 675mx. You have decent hdd at 7200rpm not like in 21.5" model where you are so limited to custom for fusion drive..you have a great graphic card . Overall it is a powerhouse
