If someone could answer this or even direct me to answers, I would be very appreciative. I just got myself a pretty new Airport Extreme Base Station but the same day I hooked it up was the same day I wondered if I might end up returning it. The reason ? I do a lot of downloading using uTorrent. I've tried to follow a few guides to set up ports by going to Port Mapping in my Airport administration section of my program files. Note I have the base station connected to a PC running Windows XP. The guide here: http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Apple/AirPortExtreme/Utorrent.htm is scattered, explaining the method of port forwarding first with windows and then with a mac. I want to forward the port for utorrent on windows, not my mac, and even if i try to follow the guide where it asks me to go to airport admin utility, i get a message saying: "this version of airport admin utility does not support this base station"... Why?? how can i make it support it?
how can I forward ports using XP?
I've entered the ports manually in the port mapping section of the base station but when i test the port on utorrent it says it is not forwarded correctly, and i have a yellow exclamation mark saying I have NAT problems on utorrent... I've got a 2 week deadline to either figure this out or return the apple base station. I don't want to return it but if I can't get a solution on port forwarding I'll have to.. :(
anyone have an idea??
has anyone followed the method on portforward.com with success?
