Hi all,

I have a problem with the application Terminal. I would like to make some aliases but I don't know where to put them.

I've been searching on net, and I've found that there should be a ".profile" file that works as the ".bashrc" in Linux, but I don't have that file either.

I am new in Mac's World and I know it's a silly question, but I need help.

Sorry if this is not the proper forum to put it.

Create it.

But make sure it is not there first. In order to show hidden files do a ls -lsa in the home directory.

Yes, I am in the home directory, and I have neither .bashrc nor .profile. See the attached file.

So I have to create it, but, why don't I have it?.

Because you don't. I didn't until I created them.

I assume that Apple thinks 99% of users won't touch the Terminal and those that do know what they need to do to configure it the way they want.

Ok, sooo doubt resolved by now, thanks ;).

I am sure I will ask a lot in this forum :p.
