Could someone tell me how to cut and paste clips in Final Cut. I have HD 4.5

Get into know the program quick keys a MUST....


Load your clip or clips....press "A" the selection tool.....click on the media/clip and or audio you would like to copy, right click after selection and hit copy....then to past right click and hit paste where you want it....hope that helps....

Thanks. What I need to do is cut certain parts of clips out.
 
If you're talking about editing a clip there, you can hit (B) - blade tool to cut at a certain spot in the timeline of the clip. You can also set In and Out points on a clip by selecting the frame, hit i, and then go to the end and hit O.
