ive been using Outlook for a couple years and want to try Mail again, though I have a few questions:

1. Where is the option to rename email accounts in Mail? They are currently named Yahoo, Gmail, etc.

2. I have an outlook account and when I try to delete an email it indicates that I can’t. Anyone have any idea what may be wrong?

3. Where is the option to delete emails in a gmail account? I’m not sure where to look in settings. I checked under Mail but didn’t see anything.

Thanks

1) Settings > Passwords & Accounts > under Accounts click the account you want to rename the mailbox for (e.g Gmail) then click Account. Now under Description rename to whatever you want the mailbox to reflect in Mail.

2) Try deleting Outlook App from iOS, then removing the Outlook account under Settings > Passwords & Account and re-add the account back and try again. What exactly is the message you’re getting when trying to delete ?

3) I think I understand what you’re asking but I could be wrong. When I add my Gmail account to iOS, the default action when you swipe from right to left to delete an email is instead set to Archive the email by placing it in “All Mail”. You can change this by following the steps i listed above in #1. When you get to where you can change the Description, click Advanced at the bottom of this screen and then under “Mailbox Behaviours” change Deleted Mailbox to “Bin” and then below that “Move Discarded Messages Into:” change this to Deleted Mailbox.

Hope this helps,
