Basic Moviemaking help!?

hey recently I have been looking at getting some moviemaking software for my mac. However I'm unsure which ones would be best for me. I've looked at the tutorials on apple website but I am still unsure. I dont wat anything too advance because again its the first time ive dealt with this stuff. Id only be messing about with short movies my friends and i made so id obviously like stuff like slo mo, colour editing, and some effects, anyone recommend anything please?

Look up tutorials on iMovie, get to learn that program.

You could start out with iMovie HD 6. It's the predecessor of iMovie '08. And it's a free download if you already have iMovie '08. Here's a link:

I think there are a few sites out there, with good video editing tutorials. Google it.
