Basic notes/clippings/etc. app

I work on my mac and throughout the day I need to keep quick notes...i.e. url's, design ideas, prices, etc. I use Textmate for this currently and Taskpaper for my to-do list. These aren't really to-do's, just quick notes...so a GTD app would not really help here.

Basically I'm looking for a very simple scratchpad for storing the various crap I need to deal with as the day goes by. I vaguely remember finding an app to do exactly this on iusethis, however I either never made a note of it or can't find the note of it I did make.

Any suggestions?

Circusponies Notebook is absolutely wonderful and extremely powerful, perhaps just too complex for shinji's use though.

I would suggest the much simpler but equally wonderful ShoveBox
