Recently switched from an iphone 8 64 GB silver to an iphone 11 128 GB White, a bit late in the cycle but here is my basic review/impressions, probably useful for anyone on an older phone considering the SE/11 or waiting for the 12.
-I find the physical dimensions of the phone excellent. The 6.1 inch display is a great size, the phone doesn't feel too heavy nor do I struggle to use it one handed if required but I'm not to bothered about one handed use. And it fits in all my trouser/jean/jacket pockets without any issues. I like the look of the dual camera on the back personally, and I really love the clean, glossy white colour when compared to the silver on my 8. I just used my 8 and it feels like a toy in comparison, I could never imagine going back to a phone that size now I've gone big; I could see myself getting an even bigger phone in the future honestly.
-The resolution of the display is fine to me, coming from a 750 LCD on the 8 to this 828 LCD, the display looks fine, maybe a tiny bit crisper with better colour accuracy than on the 8. Granted if you're coming from some 1440p OLED you will likely see it as a downgrade, but for me the display looks fine since I've never had an OLED or anything above this resolution. The notch doesn't bother me at all even when watching youtube, I really forgot about it after 10 minutes of use.
-Battery life is incredible and really does take ages to go down. This is a noticeable upgrade as my 8's battery just seemed to drain incredibly quickly, even when doing simple tasks like browsing Reddit. But with this phone, if you avoid games/movies, it does feel like an almost 2 day battery life experience.
-The phone is very quick when opening/closing apps, though my Iphone 8 was also lightning fast performance wise so there isn't a huge difference in this regard, but I do notice this phone seems to hold apps better where the 8 may of reloaded, this is likely due to the 4GB of ram compared to the 2GB in the 8.
-The camera is fantastic. I love portrait mode, and the ultra wide camera, its a clear and noticeable upgrade from my 8. Night mode is also great.
-FaceID! I find faceID so so much more intuitive and superior to touch ID. I understand this is a sensitive issue for some and a lot of people see things the other way and really love touch ID, but I always hated touch ID and I find that face ID is quicker, more convenient, and has a much lower failure rate. I really love it.
-Gestures are very fluid and it took me about an hour to get used to them honestly. I went back on my iphone 8 after 2 hours of using this phone to check something, and found myself trying to swipe up to leave an app, and swipe from the upper right hand corner for the control centre.
