Does anyone know of any software that will extract images (Jpegs or PNG) from quicktime movies in batch. For example, feed in the quicktime movie, set the desired number of images required, set image size, etc and one click go.

I remember using a piece of shareware like 3 or 4 years ago that worked and can no longer find it, or anything similar.

Please help, I've been googling for days  Thanks

Hah, it's even simpler than that. In quicktime just select File > Export, then set it to "Export movie to image sequence." You can then set how often it'll save a frame as a picture and you can also set the picture format such as .PNG .

To specify less than 1 frame per second, just use decimals. E.g. to get 1 picture for every 2 seconds of video, set the export to 0.5 FPS. To get 1 picture for every 4 seconds, set it to 0.25 FPS. Etc.

Thanks a lot. I had thought of that but didn't think about using decimals of frame rates. It works really well and creates decent images. Thanks again.
