Hey, i just wanted to find out if this is safe before i try it. When im at home i always connect my macbook to my acer 20" and then turn the brightness on my macbook all the way down to 0 when i dont need the screen space which is like never. This is to save battery. Though i've heard some people say in this situation they just take the battery out and just use the power adapter. Number 1- Is that safe for my macbook/the battery
Number 2- Would i be better off like that?
Thanks in advance! you can see the specs below.

When the battery is removed, the CPU is clocked down to 1GHz.

Important: It is strongly recommended that you do not use your MacBook or MacBook Pro while the battery is removed. Accidently bumping the A/C adaptor could disconnect power and shutdown the computer. Any information that was not saved on your computer would be lost.
