So I just bought the new 2.0 Alu Macbook.
This is my first MAC and my first laptop.

The only thing I have a question about is;
I heard that it is better to keep the notebook plugged in for as much as you can, and not to bother turning it off. just closing the lid and letting it sleep? what is everyone's opinion on this!?

Also, for anyone else who has bought a new 2.0
What type of battery life are you getting, how many hours?
I am pretty paranoid about this! And don't know if what I am getting is normal. Which is about 4-4.5 hours.

Thanks for your help!

Actually, it's better off to let the battery drain completely occasionally. I've heard varying amounts of time, be it once a month, once a week, whatever. But it will lead to better battery life. Leaving it plugged in all the time will lead the battery to not charge fully when you do take it off the charger. I killed an iBook battery that way. Now, I can only assume the new ones are the same, though I've only had mine for a day, so I can't really say for sure. Better to be safe than sorry though, batteries can be expensive.

Anyone have any information on exactly how long it should be lasting!?

I am know finding that the batter life is going down, even when it is still plugged in.
