I've considered asking this just about every time my iPad 3rd generation's battery drops this low. Ultimately, it isn't a huge deal and it doesn't matter too terribly, but I'm always curious.
Whenever the battery percentage reaches down to around 30%, it will suddenly be at about 20% the next time I wake it from sleep. Always a very quick jump down about ten percent whenever it gets to around thirty.
About once a month or so I'll let the battery run alllll the way down and charge it all the way up. So I guess it's probably calibrated(?). But this trait has maybe always been the case for the almost two years I've had this iPad.
So, um, is this normal?
