I don't believe there are Mac apps that can assess the battery of iPads. You'd have to check battery health on the iPad itself. It's in Settings.
How to check battery health and history on your iPad - Apple Support
Find out how to check battery health, the date of manufacturing and first use, and the cycle count of the battery in your iPad.support.apple.com
that is not completely true - depending on the iPad version there are Apple Shortcut scripts which will wrangle the info for battery health like cycles etc. from the log files - for the last 3 iPadOS versions for sure.Coconut Batttery
The option to check iPad battery health in settings is only available on the latest generation of iPads.
I doubt there’s an iPad app that can check Mac battery health though.

Just to clarify - I'm looking for an iPad app that can tell me the status of my MBP battery percentage while it's sleeping. Not looking for an iPad battery app. Basically something that can work across multiple devices - if possible.
Have a 8th gen iPad and 2019 MBP - both running current OS respectively.

CloudBattery or whatever was supposed to be able to do that I think but my personal experience wasn’t good at all the two times I’ve tried it. But it it got an Apple Choice Award or whatever. Maybe the paid version is reliable.Coconut Batttery

Exactly what I was looking for - thanks so much!!! Wish it showed actual percentage number as the battery icon is small but it's good enough to remind me when to charge my MBP (which I don't use everyday). The Find My app.
Assuming you have “Find My” enabled on the MacBook and both devices are on the same Apple ID.
Open “Find My” on the iPad, go to the “Devices” tab and choose your MacBook from the list. You should be able to see its battery charge percentage in there.
Just checked mine, it indeed works when the MacBook is sleeping.
