Ok, so using Coconut Battery 2.5.1, I can see my battery capacity is dropping fairly rapidly every couple of days on my 15" PowerBook G4.

This is one of the replacement batteries Apple offered out during the exploding battery panic.

Is anyone else noticing drops like this?

I calibrate literally every 3 days, sometimes once a week.

Attached, is a screen grab from the table of results that i've been saving on Coconut Battery:

I'm a little concerned...

Rich.

I dont trust Coconut Battery, One day it says my battery is at 98% and one day it says it at 77%

Coconut Battery isn't doing anything but reporting what is in the System Profile. It does not check the battery, or run any formulas, or anything...it's merely giving a better graphical interface to what is already available. So, in reality, you don't trust the System Profiler. :)

I think this information is coming from some Apple system drivers. Coconut Battery just displays it to the user. You can also see the current capacity of the battery in Apples system profiler. There are also other Applications displaying this information in some way (iStat Pro widget, Battery Health Monitor).

In my experience this number can vary a lot.

Edit: tobefirst proved his name right and was quicker than me.

have you done the battery update?
i had exactly the same problem
it shold come up in software update.
Worked for me

It's actually a PowerBook i'm using, so the battery update doesn't refer to us PPC users.

Shame, might of helped.

Rich.
