So when I check my "current capacity" for my battery it fluctuates between 99% and 93%. I have 16 charge cycles. For example, today I was using my laptop unplugged and it was at 93% capacity, but now I'm charging it (it's not even done charging) and the capacity went to 99%.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason why this happens. It's not really bugging me, but I'm just curious as to why it does that.

Thanks.

BTW, I have a 2.4 SR MBP.

The batteries are designed to slowly trickle discharge while the until is plugged in, to keep the electrons flowing. It normally drops to ~95%, and then recharges to full. So if you're seeing the range from 93-100%, that's pretty normal.

Also, if you haven't calibrated your battery in a while, this may be why you're seeing the variation.

mine does the same thing and i have the same mbp you do. so no worries. the other day mine dropped from 100 to 93. an hour later it was back up to 100.
but yes calibrate it, atleast once a month.
