Battery capacity going up

So a month ago my battery capacity (according to coconutbattery) decreased to below 45% and with 'Replace Now' condition on the menu bar. However, since then the battery capacity has increased over time (I use the laptop with the power adapter on most of the time now) with no sign of stopping. Is this normal and what's the cause of this? I have resetted SMC and that didn't seem to change the coconutbattery readings.

At over 1,000 cycles your battery is beyond it's design life and should be replaced. At this point I am not sure you can trust the information provided. And anything below 80% capacity when fully charged is also a trigger for battery replacement.
