Just bought my first Mac (2.2 Ghz black Macbook) and so expect a few questions from me in the near future since I'm a total Mac virgin.

My first question is more hardware related.

What is the best way to care for the battery? I read on the Apple's site that the best thing is to charge it and then use it up but I am a medical student so my computer is on pretty much from 8am-midnight without rest.
Should I just plug and unplug all day long? Take out the battery and just use the power outlet? Or is keepint it plugged in constantly all with the battery in that bad?

Thanks

dont bother taking out the battery. just plug it in whenever you can. the less cycles you do the more healthy your battery will be.

at home i just leave it plugged in when at my desk. when at uni i plug it in whenever i sit near a powerpoint. just make sure you calibrate every 1-2 months.
