I'm sure this is a stupid question, but you can't see my face, haha....

The Jackery charger seems to have the highest rating for iphone 6 and ipad. The question is how is the Jackery battery charged? I didn't understand the description.

Is there a charger recommended over the Jackery?

I recommend the jackery batter pack line. It charges by micro USB. Check out Anker and Ravpower as well. All of them are great choices.

+1 for Anker. Best company out there. Have 2 external batteries, 1 iPhone 5 battery case, and a portable bluetooth speaker. ianker.com is their site.

Another +1 for Anker here. Have two of their packs, gifted another, and their solar panel for charging is in the household emergency kit. Very good quality and excellent value.
