I used to have rev C MBA, the battery is like 3 hours surfing internet only. The old spec was 40wh for the battery.
New MBA, CPU is the same, graphic is better, so consumes more or at least same battery than the older model? And the new battery is 50wh, only 25% more than the older one.

So, new battery time, less than 4 hours?! I hope I am wrong, I'd like to see at least 5-6 hours if not 7.

New MBA has no moving parts.

Unless you had an SSD drive in your Rev. C - the hard drive spinning uses a lot of battery.

They should've gone with a paralleled shape instead of wedge to get a bit more battery life.

5 hours is disappointing compared to the 10 hours of a MacBook—which makes the regular MacBook functionally more portable.

Just wait for some tech website benchmarks. If it doesn't please you, there's always next year. No one is forcing you to buy anything.

I have ordered it yesterday. Just hoping the claimed battery life is real.
