Ok so I have two MacBook Air laptops. One is January 2008 and the other is late 2009. However they are both compatible in swapping the parts.
In any case. The battery on both drop about 1 percent every 1 minute or so. I mean you can watch the battery drain. Most I got out of it was 2:34minutes just watching the laptop with nothing running. Funny or not I booted in recovery mode from a USB drive. This way I ruled out the os and any programs running.
So what I did was to remove the back and started to unplug hardware. Wifi, audio, keyboard, amp, mic.
The lowest my Average mah went to was -1323 with the back light on and -1302 off.
So the back light was about 31mah.
Wifi was about 320mah.
Unit will usually run at -1700 or more. Never less then -1600 mah.
So with the keyboard plugged in I unplugged the LCD and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
The lowest it ever went -812mah the time on battery went from 74% 2:10minutes to 74% at 4:22minutes.
That is about 5 hours but after searching online I see people reporting -0058 mah.
Any idea what it could be? I also swapped the IO board. I highly doubt it that it could be the new board.
I am waiting for a new LCD ribbon and I will try the other LCD unit I have.
Just is case I already reseted the PRam and the SMt.
Is there a software that will let me know what hardware uses more power
