iPhone 12 Pro Battery drain when connected to MagSafe charger

Hi all, over the last couple of night when I have put my IPhone 12 Pro on charge overnight using the Magsafe charger, I notice that by morning, instead of it charging the battery, it has drained it to almost flat. I have tried basic things like turn off Bluetooth and Data, but cannot think of what else I can try. The strange thing is that the battery charges perfectly when plugged into the mains.

Could anyone offer any solution for this ?.

What is the MagSafe charger plugged into as the wall charger? Do you have a big case on your phone?

I agree with @BigMcGuire especially the case being the possible culprit. If you do have a case on your iPhone, try doing a charge without it (i.e., naked iPhone).
