Hello Everyone,
I have a late 2011 macbook pro 15 inch. I upgraded the ram to 8 gigs, and I have a samsung 840 ssd installed. I have noticed that I get roughly a 20% battery drain overnight when the computer is in sleep mode. Now the computer is set to sleep, not hibernate. I had read somewhere that doing this prevent the ram from being written to the hard drive, and thus increased the life of your ssd. My computer doesn't hibernate unless I close the lid when the battery is really low (configured that way).
Is this powerless normal when the computer is just sleeping and not hibernating?
Thanks,
Blue
