Hello everyone, got a new MBA, I love it but I get 30% battery drain overnight during sleep with the lid closed

Checked pmset and this is the result

What could be causing the issue?

System-wide power settings:
SleepDisabled 0
Currently in use:
standby 1
Sleep On Power Button 1
SleepServices 0
hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage
powernap 1
networkoversleep 0
disksleep 10
sleep 1 (sleep prevented by powerd)
hibernatemode 3
ttyskeepawake 1
displaysleep 3
tcpkeepalive 1
lowpowermode 0

Another thread sharing the same issue suggested turning off Bluetooth. Maybe try that for a night and see if it does something or nothing.

May also be bugs in macOS, which may be fixed in some future update. Odd battery drain is not exactly new to Apple OSes.
I have an app that automatically disables bluetooth when the lid gets closed

I'm more worried about Find My Mac and its network usage during sleep

what app? I used Dreamless App, but it stopped working the latest 18.2 update.

I noticed my Macbook rigns when i receive a call, even if it's in sleep mode

Is there a way to automate wifi turning off when i close the lid?

As far as the phone calls, and considering the case here is overnight when I assume you are sleeping, what about using Focus to stop the phone calls and messages, as well as notificstions from apps.

I'm stumped about the rest of it. I was thinking about open browsers and apps, but I rarely turn off my MacBook and put it in Sleep when open browsers, podcasts open, and other apps open.

I found that my MBA was draining because of widgets in the notification center (i.e. that I didn't know were active). Once I killed those my overnight battery drain stopped.

(However, that was with an Intel MBA, not an Apple Silicon)

If you have Adobe Creative Cloud installed look for an app that is hitting the CPU hard. I had such a case on my M4 Pro. I killed the Adobe app and removed it from the startup options and that stopped the battery drain and excessive CPU usage. Adobe thinks they own the entire machine and have zero consideration for how their stupid stunts affect users.

It is possible to see processes keeping system awake by
Code:
pmset -g assertions
in Terminal.

Not all assertions cause the problem because most of them are needed to keep system awake in normal use.
One of worst offenders is coreaudiod which is lately most probably invoked by Safari when visiting some specific websites (it is clearly seen being invoked by process "Safari graphics and media"). Interestingly same thing does not happen when visiting same websites in Chrome.

It is almost like Safari has a bug related to this...
