Hello to all,

I have a problem with my iPhone 13 mini. The battery drains (6-9%) at night while it is in airplane mode. It seems to be the location processes, which I have already minimized but I still get leaks.

You will see the screenshots attached.

Do you have apps that you gave permission to access location? Could have been a "Run away" app causing issues. I would see if apps show up on the battery meter that ate power to get a better idea.

Yep, excepted iOS iPhone localisation
Okay good to know, wanted to rule that out. If you have airplane mode on, it should not drain much, some drain is normal but certainly not 9%. Do you have wifi connected still when on airplane mode, or no connection at all? One thing that comes to mind that might be plausible is that something may have repeatedly tried to access location data. With airplane mode being on, it could not complete the task. If whatever it was, continued for hours, that might explain what had happened.

You’re not alone. There’s lots of threads complaining about the same thing. Countless threads.

It’s amazing.

Look, all settings (inc. localize my iPhone!!!) are off but I’ve lost 5% in 7 hours…
