Just received the MBP 16 maxed out. Looks good, but found a problem. I have plugged in the power for over night, in the day I installed quite some software packages. Left for a while and wake up found the battery is charging and battery level is 91%. Got totally confused.

Update: I am not doing anything, no it is 90% with charging! What the heck?!

There is a new battery management feature that will try to keep the charge below 100% when your MBP is permanently connected to power. This is to improve battery life, you can disable it in setting and verify that you get 100%.

For a new computer it typically requires a few charge cycles for the max charge to reach 100%.
