Hi, when I clicked on the battery icon on the top right of the screen, I noticed that there is a request for battery echange and repair. What does that mean? What will happen if I ignore the warning and continue to use the computer? Two years ago, Apple told me that they no longer has stock of parts for the MBP 2010 anymore.

It says exchange and repair the battery? I have never seen that, all I've ever seen is service battery.

Anyone's guess what will happen, but if it's telling you to replace the 8 year old battery, I'd do it. I just replaced mine with an OWC/NuPower/NewerTech one from Microcenter and it's great.

It is written in Japanese. I just made the correspoinding English translation.
