Hey guys so I have a late 2007 Macbook that I very rarely use and well today I brought it out to mess around with it and noticed that the battery had expanded and was looking like it was on the verge of exploding. I realize that its way out of warranty and in all honesty it isnt too big of a deal if I cant use the computer but is there anything I can do about it? Other than buying a new battery?

Change your title to say the battery has swelled. Nothing exploded buddy.

You can buy a new battery. That is all you can do.

Okay thank you for the insight. I was just kind of shocked seeing as how I had messed with it only 2 weeks ago and then today it appeared it was in the process of expanding. Thank you though!

Was it part of the battery recall? Even if you're not eligible, at least you can find out why.
