Hey

i'm using my macbook running on batteries..but i get a wide range of times when i'm just on safari..it ranges from 6 hours to 8.5 hours
does anyone experience this as well?

Thats because its an estimating on batt time it fluctuates on what your currently doing (ie. browsing a loaded page vs searching new webpages vs youtube or vid sites)

yeah the prediction time at the top fluctuates a lot and is not entirely accurate. it varies on a lot of parameters that are constantly changing. people here recommend actually using a timer to see the life you are getting...haven't done that myself as I am content with the battery life

thanks for the replies
i thought it was just my laptop that did that..lol
i'll defintely try using a timer to see how it compares to the supposed 7 hr battery life
