Hello there,

Is my battery defective or is that normal. My battery is at 32 cycle count, 5 month old and 96% according to coconut

It's the new MBP "13

Thanks

32 cycles in 5 months is quite a good and healthy cycle count.
That are 6 cycles per month.
96% health is normal, it might even rise and fall a little bit.

Unless you have below 80% health with under 300 cycles, you shouldn't have a problem. If you have, you can contact Apple and see if they exchange your battery, Apple Care required of course.

With my older white MacBook I have 11 cycles per month and 100% health, and it isn't even used daily.
My even older iBook got 687 cycles, but the battery is depleted and can only hold 10-20 minutes of charge, even though coconutBattery says it has 20x more capacity than originally.
