My wife's Series 6 before WatchOS10 was reporting 81% after about 650 cycles. Now, that she installed WatchOS10 the battery health jumped up to 83%. She was hoping to get the battery replaced under AppleCare+ soon, but now, it seems like she will be forced to wait a good 6+ months before she is eligible and the watch drops under 80% to qualify. This move really upset up. Has anyone experienced the battery health jumping up after major OS upgrade? Is Apple changing how the battery health is calculated under new OS? My watch remained at the same % post WatchOS10.

My SS Series 4 is at 87% battery health (original battery), which is the same as before I updated to OS10. I'm getting ready to trade it in toward my new SS Series 9 45mm.

There have been other reports of battery health going down after the upgrade. I wouldn’t stress about it - the calculations have probably changed, and Apple has refined them from time to time.

I also had sn experience of battery health “improving” after a OS upgrade, I was 80% (since already 2/3 months) and became 82%. Had to wait several other months for it to arrive at 79% treshold. Series 6.
