My 13' aluminum macbook is 2 years old.
Cycles 244
Health 38%
without the cord I am lucky if it lasts around 30 minutes.

I was expecting that my battery would last longer than this. Is this normal/typical?

it is bad for your battery if you always connect macbook to power source, best to let it discharge every 2 or 3 days. I think you will need a new battery now

That is not normal. In fact if you take it to apple, they should replace it, as it is in very bad condition, and under the number of cycles it should last.

Sorry to Hijack the thread, but is there any good source to buy a replacement battery from? I have the late 2008 Unibody Alu macbook that I bought used a couple months ago. I'm still getting aroudn 3-4hrs when browsing and emails.

TY in advance.

Could you post the number of your battery update please, from the path> Macintosh HD/System/Library/SystemConfiguration/BatteryUpdater/Get Info
I have 1.3 version written for macbook pro!
Thanx
